A GoFundMe has been launched for the family of a fatal crash victim who died in a crash this week in Kelowna. The victim was identified Wednesday as Marcus Audette, 32, who had been a Kelowna resident for 15 years. Friend Jordyn Montgomery set up the GoFundMe Wednesday night. “He leaves behind a beautiful family who cared so much for him,” the fundraiser said. “December 12th was the day Mark’s father died five years ago. Mark was more than a good man, he was an angel here on earth. Mark loved with all his heart and wore his heart on his sleeve . He was raised by his amazing mother Renee and leaves behind three sisters and many nieces and nephews who all looked up to him.” So far, nearly $3,500 has been raised. “I am asking for support for his family at this time for the funeral and any other expenses that may arise. Let’s help the Audette family through this very difficult time. Thank you for being who you were Marcus. You are with your dad in heaven now “, continued the fundraiser. The second person in the car at the time of the crash has not yet been identified, but police say his injuries are serious. Kelowna RCMP are continuing to investigate the crash and are asking the public to come forward with any dash cam footage that may help with the investigation.
