Twitter’s CEO was asked about his personal security during another Twitter Spaces appearance just 24 hours after internal documents were released about the platform’s decision to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story. Tech guru Kim Dotcom asked the world’s richest man if he had “suicidal thoughts” out of the blue – which shocked other participants in the chat. Musk, 51, responded: “I don’t have suicidal thoughts. If I killed myself, it’s not real.’ The world’s richest man completed a $44 billion takeover of Twitter in October and said he had faced greater risk to his personal safety because of his actions at the company. He cut the workforce by about half in the first week of November, when he officially took office, with 3,700 people losing their jobs. Musk claims chances of him getting ‘shot’ are ‘pretty significant’ after controversial decisions Tesla CEO Musk answered more questions during another live Twitter Spaces with tech guru Kim Dotcom Staff members found out they were being made redundant after logging out of their jobs during the layoffs. Musk said: “Honestly, the risk of something bad happening or literally even getting shot is very significant. “I’m definitely not going to do outdoor car parades, let me put it that way. It’s not that hard to kill me if someone wanted to, so hopefully they won’t. “Maybe I should be more worried than I am, but I think generally if you do right by the people, you have the people on your side.” It’s not the first time the Tesla CEO has hinted at threats to his life, posting a cryptic tweet after clashing with a prominent Russian official over his decision to provide Starlink satellite internet to Ukraine. He said: “If I die under mysterious circumstances, it was nice to know.” During the strange exchange, Musk also mentioned that there are “more smoking guns” regarding censorship under Twitter’s previous leadership. He hinted that there will be more releases in the near future – similar to the information being released around Hunter Biden and the alleged cover-up by Twitter. Musk claimed that Twitter “acted under orders from the government to suppress free speech,” ostensibly in reference to the Biden campaign asking the platform to remove links — but it was Donald Trump who led the administration at the time era, not Joe Biden.
The ‘Twitter files’ named by Musk show Twitter employees going back and forth trying to justify their censorship of the Hunter Biden story under the site’s rules on hacked material Musk added: “We’re just going to put all the information out there, try to get a clean slate, be iteratively better, and it’s going to force other media companies to be more honest as well, or they’re going to lose their readership.” He posted a series of tweets containing emails from Twitter executives involved in the censorship of Hunter Biden’s laptop. In one of those emails, sent ten days after the New York Post first reported the laptop story on October 14 of that year, Twitter executives were asked to “review” five tweets deemed problematic by the ” Biden team.” That same day, another email reveals there was an additional complaint from the DNC and two more tweets were deleted. It’s unclear from the leaked emails about the deleted tweets, but Washington Free Beacon reporter Andrew Kerr said he had discovered the content of many of the tweets. He said three of the tweets the Biden camp asked to be deleted contained “Hunter Biden porn” and photos of Biden’s genitalia, taken from the laptop. Includes requests by Biden’s campaign team to remove certain links – which were allegedly inappropriate images of Hunter Biden posted without his consent Yoel Roth was Twitter’s global head of trust and security. He told the Federal Election Commission in December 2020 that Twitter executives believed a “hack-and-dump” scheme was coming with Hunter Biden. It comes after an FBI agent testified in an investigation by Republican attorneys general that agents met “weekly” with social media executives to discuss disinformation ahead of the 2020 race It claims one of the tweets the DNC was asked to delete was from actor James Woods and involved Hunter smoking crack and committing a sexual act. And he says the second tweet was a link to Hunter Biden weighing in and using drugs, and another link to a Hunter Biden sex tape. Musk also hinted at the possibility of a government crackdown, amid a period of heightened scrutiny over his handling of the company. He said: “I think there will probably be some action that will happen, but it will be slow. “It’s only been a month so far, but I would expect some, there’s probably at least some malicious stuff that’s in the works, right. “It would be naive to assume that there are no naughty things. I’ll just expose them on Twitter and see what happens.’
