Ottawa police say they have identified two people of interest but no public safety concerns as they continue to investigate an incident that led to a brief evacuation of Parliament Hill.
Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Saturday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.
They have not revealed the nature of the threat.
The Parliamentary Protection Service also ordered the evacuation of Parliament Hill, issuing a warning to all MPs and staff, noting that all enclosed buildings were to be housed until further notice.
Later in the afternoon, police wrote on Twitter that the area was open to the public again.
The force said in a statement that it had not identified a threat to public safety stemming from the incident, but said it had identified two people and two vehicles of interest and was continuing to investigate.
