After a two-year hiatus due to concerns about COVID, Lumby Days is back. The event continues tonight and all day Sunday with many activities for young and old. “It simply came to our notice then. “It’s a beautiful family event and the crowd proves it,” Merna Alexander told Lumby Days. “This is the largest crowd we have ever had.” Lumby Days has taken over the entire downtown park, as well as the arena, ice rink and community area. Alexander said the race in the middle, the food and the live entertainment on the main stage and will continue for the rest of the day as well as Sunday. Also on display today and Sunday with some of the hottest vehicles in the valley, the Monashee Arts Council Festival of the Arts will feature local exhibits at Whitevalley Community Hall, a chainsaw display and sale by Tyler Welfing, Firearm Antique display at Pat Duke Arena along with numerous vendors and kiosks.
