A multi-service response followed, with police working with specialized equipment and resources in and over water, on land and with drones. It continued on Thursday, when two bodies were found. The incident was reported to the families of two people who are missing after the boat capsized. Specially trained officers have been supporting them all this time, as police say they have not yet been formally identified. Every effort has been made to locate the two missing persons as soon as possible. “Tragically, we can confirm that the bodies of two people were located and retrieved this afternoon. “Our priority is to support their families.” A large-scale emergency response response began at around 1.30pm on Wednesday. Police, firefighters and ambulances, the air ambulance, the HM Coast Guard and search and rescue teams rushed to the scene. Two people were removed from the water and taken to Deriford Hospital for treatment. One person has since been discharged and one remains in hospital in critical condition. Two other people were removed from the water and checked by ambulance crews before being evacuated to the scene. No other boats were involved in the incident.
