The son of Los Angeles Dodgers second-in-command Steve Sax was among five people killed in a military plane crash Wednesday. Capt. John J. Sax, son of Steve Sax, was one of the crew members of the Osprey tiltrotor that crashed in Imperial County, California. Steve Sax told CBS Los Angeles that his son was on the plane. “I am utterly devastated to announce that my precious son Johnny was one of five U.S. Marines killed in the Osprey Military crash near San Diego on Wednesday, June 8,” Sachs said. Sax leaves behind his wife, Amber, who is currently pregnant with the couple’s second child. He leaves behind him and his daughter, who is 20 months old.
